Considerations for sample submission

• Price per sample: $21 (UA) or $29 (outside UA)
  3% service fee for credit card payments

  • Sample analysis includes nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, silicic acid, and ammonium values. 

  • We are unable to analyze acidified samples or those poisoned with mercuric chloride.

• Analysis requires a 30 mL sample minimum.

• We require a minimum of two weeks' notice prior to submitting samples. This ensures that reagents, reference materials, and standards are available for the number of samples being submitted. 

• Samples must be shipped frozen. Please contact us for shipping recommendations, or to arrange pickup at the Alaska Air Cargo facility in Fairbanks.

How to submit samples

1. Download and complete the Sample Submittal sheet.

2. Email the completed form to both Ana Aguilar-Islas AND Mette Kaufman.

3. Schedule sample analysis.

4. Organize sample shipment in consultation with either
   Ana Aguilar-Islas or Mette Kaufman.
